Anytime in October is a great time to give a Boo Basket. I plan to surprise my little ones with their Boo Baskets on October 1. I love the excitement that these baskets bring. It's a perfect way to spread Halloween cheer. Celebrating the holidays with my little ones is one of my favorite things. I will be sharing more of the Boo Baskets on my Instagram ( @marrisalutz ) you can follow along on the fun in my stories. I'll be sure to save a Boo Basket highlight. Boo Baskets are what you make them. They do NOT need to be over the top, unless that is what you want. We live
Oobleck Activity: Perfect For Toddlers & Older Children
"Oobleck", Have you heard of it?
Oobleck is an interesting substance. It’s not a solid, but it’s not a liquid. It has properties of both. It moves like a liquid, but you can break it and hold it (like a solid).
The recipe for oobleck is simple: Mix two parts cornstarch to one part water. I added food coloring to the water to make a Fall inspired activity. I like to play around with the consistency, but it’s about 1/2 cup of cornstarch + 1/4 cup of water.

What you’ll need:
-Water-Food coloring, if using
-Cornstarch

She loved this activity though! She had fun feeling the oobleck and continued to try and pick it up. Then sampling the oobleck became her favorite part of the activity and that’s okay, it’s just water and cornstarch with a little bit of food coloring.

This is a fun and easy activity for any age. Just remember parent supervision is always recommended with any activity that I share.

Let me know in the comments how your oobleck activity goes!
Happy Playing,
Marrisa
