Celebrating and taking care of our earth is important to do everyday. I wanted to do something fun and extra special to help my little one think about our planet. This shaving cream Earth Day Craft is a great way to excite your little one's about our earth. Have them pretend they are looking at our earth from space. What do they see?
Here is how to help your kid's create their own little earth this Earth Day! This Earth Day craft is definitely a hands on one, so get ready!
Materials Needed:
- Shaving cream
- Blue and green food coloring or paint
- Cookie sheet or glass container
- Little paint brush or something for stirring (fork)
- White card stock paper or paper plate
- Scissors if using paper
Start by spraying a good amount of shaving cream on the container you are using. Then squirt drops of blue and green coloring randomly around the shaving cream. Use your stirring utensil to swirl the colors around. Once you have the look you are wanting grab your paper or paper plate and place it face down onto the mixture. Give it a little press around the surface.
Lift the paper up and use a fork or your stirring utensil to remove the excess shaving cream. Let your craft dry for a few hours and then you can cut it into a earth shape if you used paper. It's as easy as that!
Happy crafting and Happy Earth Day!
